Rachael S. Levine DVM, IVCA

Dr. Rachael S. Levine grew up in the northwest area of Connecticut, near the beautiful foothills of the Berkshire mountains. Her passion for horses began with the ownership of her two Arabians, Ciao and Phantom’s Azsuri and was fostered by her 15 year active membership with the local chapter of the U.S. Pony Club.

After receiving her B.S. in biology from Elizabethtown College, magna cum laude and with an honors in the discipline, she continued on with her love of science and animals at Tufts University, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. During this time, she was an active member and maintained leadership roles in the student chapters of the AAEP, AVMA and Society for Theriogenology. At graduation, she was honored to receive the A. Martin Simensen, DVM Endowed Prize for Outstanding Achievement.

After completing her veterinary degree, Dr. Levine returned to Elizabethtown and joined Henderson Veterinary Associates in 2010. This multi-doctor practice focused on providing all facets of care for all horses, from neonates to athletes and on to geriatrics.

Dr. Levine is thrilled to join Blauner, Buchholz & Associates in January 2016. Her veterinary interests include chiropractic, lameness, ophthalmology and reproduction. Dr. Levine is certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).

When not working, Dr. Levine adores baking and cooking. She also enjoys being outdoors and hiking with her dog, Gadget.
