Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Regular eye examinations are essential for detecting and managing eye conditions early. Our comprehensive eye exams include:
Visual Acuity Testing: Assessing your horse’s vision to identify any impairments.
Ocular Health Assessment: Evaluating the overall health of the eyes, including the cornea, lens, retina, and optic nerve.
Intraocular Pressure Measurement: Checking for signs of glaucoma or other pressure-related issues.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Eye Conditions
We are equipped to diagnose and treat a variety of equine eye conditions, including:
Corneal Ulcers: Identifying and treating ulcers to prevent further damage and promote healing.
Uveitis: Managing inflammation of the uveal tract to reduce pain and prevent vision loss.
Cataracts: Evaluating and discussing treatment options for cataracts that affect your horse’s vision.
Conjunctivitis: Treating infections and irritations of the conjunctiva to restore eye health.
Enucleation: When an eye is non-responsive to treatment or extremely damaged or painful, it can be surgically removed. Horses that undergo Enucleation generally adapt very well to having only one eye, and their quality of life is greatly improved by eliminating the pain of a diseased or injured eye.
